As a life-long learner with a curious approach, I’m always looking for new knowledge or skills to add. Here are a few that help me to expand my offerings as a learning and development professional.
Public Speaking
I joined Toastmasters 6 years ago to get over my fears and discomfort with spur-of-the-moment speaking. Since then I have delivered keynotes, virtual presentations, and TV interviews. These skills enable me to develop and deliver an educational presentation in a couple of hours when the need arises.
Here are a few examples of me in action.
Website Design
I designed my current website and am self-taught in WordPress.
Course Community Design
I’m a fan of using Mighty Networks to design course community sites where students can learn from each other and interact in a private community space. Here’s a snapshot of a recent project for women entrepreneurs.

Graphic Design
I have honed skills in Canva which comes in handy for course development. My Instagram feed shows my progression in this area. Like everything else, it continues to be a work in progress.
Writing
I have developed my skills in writing for a variety of audiences: marketing, students, research reports, and as a published author.
Content Knowledge
My continuous learning drives me to dive deeper into subject areas aligned with personal development and gain certification along the way. I’m certified in applied positive psychology, positive psychology coaching, facilitating The Passion Test, facilitating Type-Coach Communication Systems, 5 Appreciation Languages in the Workplace, Flourishing Skills Groups.
Along with these certifications, I’ve developed and improved many workshops and seminars along the way.
